A bit of history
The Hass avocado originated in California in the 1920s, thanks to Rudolph Hass, a passionate grower who happened to select a seedling from Guatemalan stock.
In 1935 he patented the variety, marking the beginning of a true revolution in the avocado world.
Hass quickly became popular for its thick, pebbled skin, its rich and creamy flesh, and above all for its exceptional shelf life and ability to withstand long transport.
Since then, it has become the most widely grown and best-known avocado variety in the world.
Today it also grows in Sicily, where we cultivate it using an ecosystemic approach, respecting natural rhythms and avoiding any form of forcing.
